Three more exams until I'm home-free. Well, I have 3 more exams until I'm done with exams. Being a RA, I have to stay until Saturday afternoon to help close down the dorm. But I choose to repress that piece of information and focus on how close I am to being done.
Pretty much studying, writing, and eating is all I do anymore. Does not make for an exciting blog. But that's all done on Thursday. Well, I'll still eat after Thursday, and probably write too, but my junior year will be behind me, and I'll be on to more exciting things. Unforntunately for you, dear reader, by that time I'll be on summer vacation.

So as 2 hours and 43 minutes ago, I am done with classes for the year. All that are left are finals next week. I have plenty of time to study, and feel like I've been staying on top of my work this semester, so I don't think I'll have too much trouble.
You may be wondering "But today is Thursday. How can you be done? Are you just ditching class Friday?"
No, I am not ditching class. I would never dream of doing such a thing. That never happens at Randolph-Macon. No, the entire student body has the last Friday of the semester off for an event called Research Day. This is when students who have done research either as part of SURF or during the academic year present their findings. It's a big deal I guess if you do research things. I don't really, so Research Day is more like Sleep Late and Maybe Go See Spider-man 3 Day.

So another Spring Break has come and gone. You might think I spent it at the beach, or at least bronzing up a nice tan somewhere, but I spent this Spring Break in school. Actually, schools plural.
Since I'm part of the A. Purnell Bailey Pre-ministerial Program, we took a road trip to visit seminaries. We stopped at 2- Duke in North Carolina and Candler in Atlanta. It was a long van ride, complete with crowded seats, traffic, fast food stops, and a crazy GPS system. Despite the rough conditions at times (and the fact that I had to sacrifice my break) I think it was time well spent.
I don't want class to start back up tomorrow, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

sorry i've been neglecting yall. i've been staying busy with class, my girlfriend, and assorted other stuff. i'm lucky to not have any overwhelming assignments as this semester closes up, i've just got a steady stream of work to take care of.
if you think field trips stop in college, you're wrong. i think i've on more field trips my 2 years at RMC than my entire 4 years in high school. i got to go on one last thursday to washington. it was pretty fun, i always love going to DC.
it's april, its getting warm, and its final the start of concert season. spring and summer is like christmas to me; i love going to shows. i get to see my first of the year tomorrow night. i'm going to see hootie and the blowfish (who believe it or not still put on an awesome show). richmond actually pulls some pretty decent acts during the spring/summer. hootie is playing just 20 minutes from campus, and the show is only $10! i'm excited about hootie, but i'm even more stoked about a concert i'm going to the saturday after finals. one of my favorite acts ever, the strokes, are coming to a place less than 5 minutes from my house. i'm definitely looking forward to it.
so the other big news is that i'm a real RA for next year. it's a pretty cool deal. i'm glad to be able to do it full time. i'm trying to work with freshman, so maybe some of my readers will be my residents.
well, i had a long night and i've still got work to do, so i think i'm gonna do one of my favorite hobbies and take a nap.

it's april, and the weather is finally nice. it's sunny out, the fountain is turned back on, it's a great time in ashland. last week was spring break, i spent it hanging out in richmond and going to the beach in north carolina. it was a blast.
everything is going at a pretty fast pace in my classes. there's lots of tests and assignments to keep me busy. tonite im going to see a comedian thats coming to campus. hopefully he's funny. other than class stuff and enjoying the weather, i've been taking it easy, looking into summer concert schedules to see who's touring where when. i've already got tickets to see hootie and the blowfish (trust me, theyre still good), and i'm trying to go see tom petty sometime this summer.
i won't have as much time for shows as i normally do this summer; i just found out yesterday that i've been accepted for an internship in charlottesville. i'll be living there june/july, helping run a summer camp. i'm really excited about it. should be a fun way to make some $ and help people.
