January term -- or "J-term" -- is an exciting time
for Randolph-Macon College students. This four-week session between the fall
and spring semesters provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves
in another culture, gain real-life experience through an internship or explore
other areas of study. This year's J-Term destinations are Australia, New Zealand,
Brazil, Italy, France, Israel, the Galápagos Islands, China, Germany, Costa
Rica, Ghana, England and El Salvador.
Several hundred R-MC students will participate in J-Term travel
courses. In addition, many students will take on-campus courses or
participate in internships. Some of those students have agreed to
share their experiences by posting blog entries about their research
and experiences.
